Mushspresso offers a groundbreaking coffee service that blends sustainably planted coffee and locally produced mushrooms. Their mission is to provide a climate-positive alternative to traditional coffee, using an innovative 20-hour work week and on-demand production to reduce carbon emissions and support small producers.
We’re not just offering coffee—we’re offering a solution to carbon emissions while creating jobs and promoting sustainability.
Within just six months, Mushspresso developed the first-ever mushroom coffee capsules compatible with Nespresso machines, making their service scalable on a global level. This achievement followed a challenge from one of Portugal’s largest supermarkets.
Creating the first mushroom coffee capsule in the world was a game-changer, proving our ability to scale and innovate in a highly competitive market.
Our focus is on scaling production, expanding into key European markets, and continuing to raise funds to support our climate-positive mission.
In 2024, Mushspresso aims to produce its first industrial batch for a Portuguese supermarket, send samples to five strategic European countries, and establish 15 decentralized coffee machines in Madrid and Lisbon. They also aim to achieve 15% of their €100,000 fundraising goal.
